The KFOR mission in Kosovo is carrying out several engineering operations in the north of the country, removing from the road the blocked vehicles that have remained in this part.

In an announcement, the mission states that this is being done to restore freedom of movement in accordance with its United Nations (UN) mandate, reports KosovaPress.

"The KFOR mission is conducting engineering operations in the north of Kosovo to remove some vehicles blocked on the road and to restore freedom of movement in accordance with its UN mandate," the announcement states.

On Thursday, December 29, in the north of the country, the Serbs removed the barricades set up by the criminal gangs in the north of the country, but there remained some trucks burned by them.

The blockade was made to oppose the arrest of a former Serbian policeman by the Kosovo Police, Dejan Pantic, who was sent to house arrest a few days ago.
