Unit B1 of the "Kosova B" Power Plant has already been put into operation. KEK has announced that currently in KEK are working three active units. “Kosovo Energy Corporation announces the opinion that today, on 16.12.2014 at 06:40, after repairing the leak in the boiler, unit B1 of the Kosovo B Power Plant has been put into operation. As a result, this morning, at 08:10, Termokos has started to be supplied with thermal energy (steam) from Kosovo B for central heating of the city of Prishtina. Currently three active units of Kosovo A (A3, A4 and A5) and unit B1 in Kosovo B with a production capacity of about 650 MW / h are operational. Thanking the workers for the continuous commitment as well as the parties involved for understanding and cooperation, KEK continues with maximum efforts for sustainable production of electricity and heat in the current conditions of the seasonal and global energy crisis", announced KEK.
