The Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has presented its findings on the influence of various interest groups in the legislative process. In the analysis of KDI it is considered that this phenomenon is quite present in the Assembly and the Government. At a press conference, some of the suspicious cases were highlighted, for which, according to them, there were interventions of interest groups in drafting laws. For this reason, KDI asked the Government of Kosovo to include in the legislative agenda of 2022, the Draft Law on the regulation of lobbying activities in Kosovo.

The manager of the Transparency and Anti-Corruption program at KDI, Arben Kelemendi, said that based on the analysis made from 2008 onwards, the influence that different interest groups are exercising in decision-making within state institutions can be seen.
