KBF: Admission to FIBA opens the doors for success in the international arena
The 13th was lucky for Kosovo. It was March 13, 2015 when the Kosovo Basketball Federation became the 215th member of FIBA.
Years of commitment and work were successfully finalized, while entire generations have worked for this special day for Kosovo basketball.
On March 13, 2015, the FIBA Executive Committee unanimously accepted KBF. After that, Kosovo was also admitted to FIBA Europe.
From this day on, Kosovo basketball players were equal to world athletes, realizing the centuries-old dream of competing in the international arena.
From the admission, Kosovo has successfully organized several important European events, while competing with all age groups in the international arena, as well as with Kosovo A, and also Kosovar clubs are part of European competitions.
KBF will always be grateful to FIBA for the acceptance and continuous support it gives to Kosovo basketball.
