The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) of has announced that until yesterday, 530 thousand citizens were registered in the Population Census process.

The executive director of KAS, Avni Kastrati, said that over 36% of the facilities in Kosovo have been registered.

He emphasized that all areas in Kosovo and the Serbian community are participating in the population census.

Meanwhile, 180 thousand members have been registered from the diaspora and over 50 thousand through the e-diaspora platform.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Diaspora, Liza Gashi, has added that the e-diaspora platform provides an overview of where our compatriots are, and where over 50 thousand citizens are registered.

Also, many citizens have complained that during the registration process, the question of religious affiliation is being exceeded.

For this, Kastrati answered for KosovaPress that the citizen may not answer, but the questions must be read.

In a case where a citizen complained, Kastrati emphasized that when the case was investigated, it was proven that the citizen was questioned, but did not want to declare.

In Kosova, the registration process will last until May 17.
