Jashari and Haxhiu discuss the Euro-Atlantic future of Kosovo
The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, received the Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, H.E. Ms. Albulena Haxhiu, in an official meeting, during which he informed her about the ongoing processes within the KSF, its achievements, and the way forward.
According to the statement, they discussed KSF planning, including the current phase of the Comprehensive Transition Plan (CTP), the long-term development planning process, as well as the Force’s current challenges.
“Furthermore, the importance of KSF participation in international operations abroad was emphasized, which turns our Republic into an exporter of security in various global conflicts,” the statement said.
On the other hand, Acting President Haxhiu praised General Jashari for the KSF’s achievements so far and for the results shown in various fields and activities in which the KSF has participated.
It is further reported that at the end of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of institutional cooperation and the need to develop and advance the KSF into a modern, professional force on the path toward NATO membership.
