Alain Giresse is the new coach of the Kosovo National Team. His official announcement was made on Wednesday at a press conference of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK). Giresse is the successor to Swiss Bernard Challandes, who was sacked months ago due to very poor results during 2021.  Speaking about the new coach, FFK president Agim Ademi said that he is very happy that Giresse has accepted the invitation to take this task, and that his experience as a coach gives confidence in achieving the objectives that Kosovo has. Giresse, in his career has led different teams at the national level. Georgia, Gabon, Mali, Senegal and most recently Tunisia are the national teams he coached. He also coached two of the most popular French teams such as PSG and Toulouse. The two friendlies of March, those against Burkina Faso and Switzerland will be the first tests for the Frenchman as the new coach.
