IPA II funds; Kosovo is the beneficiary of 7.5 million euros in the framework of cooperation with Montenegro

Citizens of the border area between Kosovo and Montenegro have benefited from the IPA program of cross-border cooperation between the two countries through projects financed by the European Union. Gjakova, Deçan, Peja and Klina, in our country have been beneficiaries of various projects of this program in the amount of 7.2 million euros.

The overall goal of this program has been to improve the standards and quality of life of the people in this area through a sustainable and comprehensive economic, social and environmental development of the region in respect of the common cultural and natural heritage.

The program has been achieved through joint projects such as the promotion of employment, the mobility of the job offers and cultural and social inclusion across the border, the protection of the environment, the promotion of climate change and measures to mitigate it, the management and prevention of risks and the encouragement of tourism, culture and natural heritage.
