Invited to speak about women in politics, Osmani declines to comment on why she parted ways with Gërvalla
Former President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has declined to comment on the reasons why she parted ways with her co-founder of the Guxo party, Donika Gërvalla.
While attending the conference “Albanian Women in Politics,” Osmani said that she only discusses such questions in interviews.
“When we organize an interview, we can discuss such issues. If you have any questions regarding women’s rights, we can talk about that,” she said.
Osmani, together with Donika Gërvalla and Faton Peci, had founded the “Guxo” party, which later entered into a coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement, through which she became President of the country and gave up leadership of the political party. However, after relations between her and Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti deteriorated, Gërvalla and Peci also distanced themselves from Osmani.
