The Regional Unit for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (NjRHKEK) in Mitrovica, has launched investigations against several construction business owners, who are connected with more than 30 high-rise buildings built or under construction, in locations of different regions of this municipality.

The Basic Prosecution of Mitrovica has authorized the NjRHKEK to collect all the evidence related to the construction process of these buildings.

Sources of KosovaPress within the prosecutor's office have informed that in order to enlighten the full circumstances, the business owners have been requested the documentation of the ownership of the land and the way of obtaining the ownership, construction permit, as well as any other contract that the owners of businesses own with other operators about the construction of these facilities.
