The Basic Prosecution in Prizren has filed an indictment against the defendant Q.K., due to well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “Smuggling of migrants”.
According to the indictment, on December 10, 2024, at 22:25 in the village of Vermica in the Municipality of Prizren, at the exit from the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway to the village of Vermica, the defendant engaged in migrant smuggling was stopped by the Border Police.
According to the indictment, the defendant had been transporting four immigrants (Bangladesh citizens), for whom he had agreed to send them to Gjilan for a sum of money in the amount of 150 euros, even though, according to the indictment, he had been aware that the same had entered the territory of Kosovo illegally.“The prosecutor of the case, upon filing the indictment, has proposed to the court that after holding the judicial hearing, administering the evidence and assessing it, the aforementioned defendant be found guilty of the criminal offense for which he is accused and be punished according to the law,” the announcement states.
