The Ambassador of the United States of America, Jeffrey Hovenier, after today's meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, declared that it is urgent to de-escalate the situation in the north.

He described the discussion with Kurti as good and productive, but said that he has not been able to change his mind that the three mayors elected in the north should not exercise their duties in municipal facilities.
