Hovenier: The dinar issue has affected the US-Kosovo partnership
The Ambassador of the United States of America in Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, in a statement to the media, has said that the issue of the dinar has affected the partnership of the United States with Kosovo, denying the Government who have said the opposite.
Hovenier, today repeated the call for Kosovo to postpone the decision on the dinar, this regulation received from the Central Bank of Kosovo
The American ambassador said that they do not challenge the institutions of Kosovo to regulate the financial sector, but requested that the new CBK Regulation be postponed.
Hovenier answered the journalists in Prishtina regarding the possibility of imposing measures against Kosovo.
He finally said that the commitment of the United States to the people of Kosovo is as strong as it has ever been. And he added that they expect to celebrate on Saturday the anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo's independence.
