Heavy trucks over 20 tons banned from Kosovo's motorways during the day today
Kosovo's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport will be enforced today for freight vehicles with a total weight exceeding 20 tons on Kosovo's motorways.
According to the ministry, the measure has been introduced based on the official weather forecast, with temperatures expected to reach or exceed 32°C.
The restriction will be in effect from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and applies only to motorways.
Meanwhile, heavy vehicles will be allowed to travel without restrictions on national, regional and connecting roads.
The measure does not apply to vehicles used by law enforcement and public security authorities, emergency services, or healthcare institutions.
The ministry has called on transport operators and drivers to comply with the restriction and plan their journeys in accordance with the designated schedule.
