The Minister for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, James Heappey, has stated that they remain committed to Kosovo's membership in the EU and NATO. He emphasized that the relations with Kosovo are long, adding that the United Kingdom will extend its presence in KFOR for three more years.

Heappey, after the meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, said that there are challenges regarding the security situation in the north of Mitrovica.
