Haxhiu: The Constitutional Court should issue a ruling on the law on the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council as soon as possible
The acting Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has stated that after the February 9 elections, the constitutional amendments on vetting that are in the Kosovo Assembly will be returned for processing.
At the press conference after the Kosovo Government meeting, she requested that the Constitutional Court issue a ruling on the Law on the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council as soon as possible.
“The law on the Prosecutorial Council is a very important law that is currently in the Constitutional Court. We continue to hope that the Constitutional Court will issue a ruling in relation to the law on the Prosecutorial Council, as a very major reform in the prosecutorial system as soon as possible, considering that this is the second time that it is dealing with such a law”, she stressed.
The acting Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, stated that now the local coordination mechanisms regarding cases of domestic violence will be under the leadership of the mayors of Kosovo municipalities.
