Haxhiu: The conclusion of vetting and the establishment of the Bureau, will be done in the second half of the year
The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, believes that the two main promises that she has set before her, that of the vetting process and the Bureau for Confiscation and Verification of Unjustified Assets, will be implemented in the second half of 2023. The Chief Justice expresses her conviction that even the Civil Code will receive the support of legislators in the first months of this year.
About these and the "cold relations" that she had with the heads of justice institutions during 2022, the minister, Haxhiu speaks in an interview for KosovaPress.
Haxhiu says that the second opinion of the Venice Commission regarding the Bureau Law for Confiscation and Verification of Unjustified Assets was positive and in January it is expected that these changes will be voted on in the Parliamentary Commission for Legislation.
Minister Haxhiu says that they are planning for other procedures for the selection of the director and staff of this Bureau to take place in the second half of the year that we have just entered.
