Haxhiu says they have not received a request to provide bail for the accused in The Hague
The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has stated that the government has so far not received any request for guarantees rom the defense attorneys and the accused from the Special Court in The Hague. She said that if there will be such a request from the defense, they will definitely consider it, but she said that even in the constitutional amendment this issue is not legally regulated. Haxhiu, who was part of the "Open Speech" discussion organized by the FOL Movement, spoke about its priorities and challenges at the head of the Ministry of Justice.
Regarding the expenses for the protection of the accused by the Special Court, Haxhiu said that they have made public only the expenses that have been allocated by the ministry and not those that are among the decision of the former Haradinaj Government, which he said have been allocated illegally.
