The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu stated that there is no information whether the justice or security institutions are acting against persons on whom the United States of America has imposed sanctions, who are Serbs from Kosovo. Regarding the inclusion of other persons in this list, Haxhiu said that it is very important that institutions do not turn a blind eye to these cases. She also said that the same people could not operate freely without the support of previous governments.
