At the international conference organized by the Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims (KRCT), Minister Haxhiu said that what the state institutions have not done, the civil society organizations have done.
Special Prosecutor Ilir Morina emphasized that the Special Prosecution has encountered several challenges when dealing with war crimes, including the legal framework and the lack of international cooperation. He said that by 2023, about 80 cases of sexual violence have been registered as war crimes.
Also, the founder and executive director of the KRCT, Feride Rushiti, emphasized that in the post-war period, the psycho-social aspect of treatment was missing, a period in which UNMIK and EULEX, although they had dozens of testimonies, ended without any results. /A. Shala/
