Greece wants to take a role in the Balkans, gives signals for the recognition of Kosovo

Greece has not yet recognized Kosovo as a state, but relations between the two countries are being considered good. The meetings of Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, in Athens, are considered positive, in order for this country to recognize Kosovo. Experts of political and international circumstances, commenting on these meetings, have emphasized that recognition can happen very soon. According to them, Greece is already making efforts to change its role in the Balkans.

Greece is one of the five countries of the European Union that has not yet recognized Kosovo. However, it has its liaison office in Prishtina.
