While speaking about the vote against Montenegro in the Committee for Foreign Policy in the Council of Europe on Wednesday, she emphasized that this was the position of a member of parliament, but not of the government.
This is what she said after signing the agreement for the IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo, with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi. The latter spoke about the importance of this agreement, which foresees a fund of 8.4 million euros.
He said that he does not consider Serbia's vote against Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe to be a novelty, and he even emphasized that with this it has only done honor to Kosovo.
Even the Minister for European Affairs, Maida Gorcevic, emphasized that this vote does not speak for Montenegro's attitude towards Kosovo, as she added that Kosovo will be supported in the Ministerial Council in May.Bislimi added that it is planned to establish a joint task force with the main office in Podgorica and another office in Pristina, which will supervise the implementation of the program in both countries.
Even the Minister for European Affairs of Montenegro, Majda Gorcevic, emphasized the importance of this agreement for the deepening of cooperation between the two countries.
