The General Secretary of EANA, Alexandru Giboi, has congratulated the KosovaPress News Agency on its 25th anniversary of the establishment.

He said that the media environment is now complex and very difficult, but he expressed confidence that the news agency has the power and drive to move forward and turn this challenging situation into an opportunity.

Giboi, through a video link, at the gala evening organized by KosovaPress on Wednesday, expressed his happiness for the membership of KosovaPress in EANA.

"Dear colleagues, is my pleasure to congratulate you on this fantastic day, 25 years of KosovaPress is not a small number. It's a lot of pressure, I know, it's pressure to continue to evolve its pressure to become better and better, and I know also that it's not easy. We're not living in very quiet or stable times. The media environment is complex is difficult, but I'm sure that news agencies have the power and the drive to move forward and to turn this challenging situation into an opportunity. I'm happy to call KosovaPress a member of EANA, we have been together for not very long time, but I think KosovaPress is a great addition to our team. We have now 32 members from all over Europe, all leading news agencies in their countries. And again, I'm happy that KosovaPress has joined us, and taking part in our meetings and sharing insights, and practically adding a little bit of specific insight to our general growth", he said.

He expressed his full conviction that KosovaPress will continue to develop and be a suitable and important member of the EANA community.

“I'm sorry I can't be there to celebrate with you, you too previously arranged travels, but I'm happy to be able to send this message. It's is my pleasure to call Skender Krasniqi my friend. It's my pleasure to have visited KosovaPress and to have met part of your colleagues. Congratulations to all of them for this 25 years, led by Skender with his vision, because I'm sure it's very important vision that he has for KosovaPress. And again, it's not easy time for the media but I'm sure KosovaPress will manage to continue to evolve, and be a relevant and important member of the EANA community. Congratulations again.
