The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, has expressed optimism about Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe within a few months. She said that they have secured the votes for membership and it should not take much time for Kosovo's application to pass from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
