From March, the KSF will be on a peacekeeping mission with the US Army
This spring, the Kosovo Security Force is expected to join US troops in peacekeeping missions. Agreements have been reached and there are only administrative procedures until the KSF will participate in a peacekeeping mission for the first time. This was confirmed for KosovaPress by the KSF commander, who, among other things, says that the army needs more budget to complete the transformation process. Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama also spoke about the pressure that Serbia continues to exert on Serb members of the KSF, but despite the pressure they continue to serve in the Kosovo Security Force.
During yesterday, the Government of Kosovo approved the decision to send a contingent of the Kosovo Security Force on missions abroad with the Iowa National Guard. This decision will be proceeded to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo with the proposal to send a KSF contingent to missions to support regional stability and peacekeeping operations, under the US Central Command.
