The former Deputy Minister of Education, Dukagjin Popovci, is considering the warning that teachers may go on strike again and the objection that the latter be tested as issues that SBASHK is using for its own interests.

In an interview for KosovaPress, Popovci says that the salary increase cannot be done only for one sector, such as education, which is why the strikes are being called.

As for the current government's failure to build 160 nurseries, former Deputy Minister Popovci refused to comment, stressing that this issue can be judged by others, but not by him, as he was part of the government when the promise was made.

Asked if Kosovo needs the construction of more nurseries, Popovci emphasizes that a balance must be made between the constructions of new nurseries and subsidizing enrollment in private nurseries, which, according to him, can be more flexible than public ones.

The education expert, Dukagjin Popovci, also talks about the possibility of teachers going on strike, due to unsatisfactory salaries, as warned by SBASHK.

He emphasizes that the salary increase cannot be done only in the education sector, but added that there should be a dialogue between the government and SBASHK, in order to avoid a strike.

In addition, Popovci added that the testing of teachers is a topic brought out by the SBASHK to achieve its own goals.

Among other things, Popovci also gives his opinion on MESTI's method for subsidizing the purchase of school books, while he mentions the difficulty of some parents accessing the E-Kosova platform as a problem.

As a result of this, he says that the possibility is not excluded that some students will be left without books. /Z. Zeneli/
