Failure to hold sessions is harming the efficiency of the judiciary and the citizens who are waiting for justice
Failure to hold sessions except for those that
are essential on the part of the courts and prosecutions due to the decision of
the Government of Kosovo to reduce salaries for judges and prosecutors of
Kosovo are being considered as actions that will negatively affect the
efficiency of the judiciary, and to the detriment of citizens who are awaiting
justice.
The effects of these measures have already
begun to be felt as the number of court hearings that are not being held is
high, causing many citizens to be denied the right to justice.
On the other hand, the Kosovo Judicial Council and the Prosecutor's Office have given an ultimatum to the Government of Kosovo until December 8 to cancel the decision to reduce salaries, otherwise they have warned that they will intensify the protest actions against this decision...
