The United States Representative for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has said he supports Kosovo's independence and territorial integrity, but that the way to resolve the issue with Serbia should be left to dialogue. In a press conference, Escobar said that at the end of the dialogue process should be a good solution for Kosovo, as well as for Serbia. "This US administration strongly supports the independence and territorial integrity of Kosovo. Beyond that, how Kosovo and Serbia reach a solution should be left to the dialogue. At the end of this process, we hope that the result will be a good solution for both Kosovo and Serbia. I am confident we will get there," he said.
