At the preparatory conference in the case against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in The Hague, Kadri Veseli's lawyer, Ben Emmerson, speaking about the "Limaj" and "Haradinaj" cases, emphasized that it was found by the trial bodies that the KLA did not have a policy for attacked the civilian population. Emmerson emphasized that such conclusions were drawn after examining the evidence which will also be used by the Office of the Specialist Prosecutor in the "Thaçi and others" case.

While the parties have discussed the views on the alleged existence of a widespread or systematic attack in light of the findings in the ICTY "Limaj" and "Haradinaj" cases, lawyer Emmerson has said that in these cases it was not necessary to ask about systematic attack, since there was no attack on the civilian population...
