The Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rashiq, is ready to be involved in drafting the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo.

Minister Rashiq tells KosovaPress that whenever the government will start drafting a draft for the Association in cooperation with the local Serbs in Kosovo, he will give his contribution. Rashiq considers the establishment of the Association for the Serbian community in Kosovo important, while emphasizing that there should be no fear of a Bosniakization of Kosovo. On the other hand, Rashiq considers the conclusions made by the "all-Serbian assembly" to be empty statements, as he says they are only for internal use in Serbia.

According to him, the establishment of the Association is an international obligation of Kosovo and how it should be done.

He declares that the institutions in Kosovo should not be afraid of a Bosniakization of Kosovo after the establishment of the Association, as the Constitutional Court can clear it of unconstitutional elements.

However, he adds that the Association draft presented by the European Union has some things that are unclear to him.

As for the so-called "all-Serb assembly," where leaders of Serbia and the Bosnian Serb entity Republika Srpska called for Serb unity across the region, Rashiq says those are empty statements and for internal use only.

According to him, the Serbian president, Aleksandër Vucic, and the president of the Serbs in Bosnia, Milorad Dodik, have convened this assembly for personal interests and that the conclusions drawn from this meeting have no weight in the European and regional aspect.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, told KosovaPress a few days ago that the government will consider the EU draft for the Association only if Serbia fully implements the basic Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex. .

According to her, Kosovo cannot send Miroslav Lajcak's draft for the association to the Constitutional Court as a separate part from the agreement reached last year, but only as part of the package that includes the detailed implementation plan. /E.Zeqiri/
