Distria Krasniqi wins the bronze at Grand Slam Tbilisi
Our judoka Dristria Krasniqi has won the bronze medal at the Grand Slam of Tbilisi, which took place in Georgia.
In the category up to 52 kilograms, Distria passed the first round without a fight, while in the second she defeated the Russian judoka, Iana Zhilkina, reports KosovaPress.
Krasniqi continued with victory in the third round, defeating the Dutchwoman, Naomi Van Krevel, while our judoka was announced with a loss in the quarterfinals, where she was defeated by the Spaniard Ariane Toro Soler.
After the loss, Distria continued in the repechage, where in the first round she defeated the Swiss, Binta Ndiaye, while in the final of the repechage, Krasniqi defeated the Chinese Yeqing Zhu. The victory over Zhu ensured Krasniqi the bronze medal today.
