'Diaspora Investment Window', Kurti invites the diaspora to contribute

The entire "Diaspora Investment Window" is expected to reach up to 100 million euros. While through this it will be possible to guarantee investment loans up to 3 million euros. All this is aimed at attracting investments from the diaspora.

At the launch event of this window, the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, said that with this step it will be possible to guarantee investment loans up to 3 million euros, while according to him, the entire window is expected to reach up to 100 million euros.

The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, has emphasized that through this window, the increase in diaspora investments will be made possible. While he said that the government will allocate up to 8 million euros of additional capital to the Credit Guarantee Fund.

The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, while expressing his happiness with the establishment of this window, said that when entrepreneurs from the diaspora return to the country, they bring the best here.

Even the Managing Director of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF), Besnik Berisha, said that the contribution of the diaspora in the country is extremely large. The Diaspora Investment Window is a new risk-sharing loan guarantee scheme by the KCGF to provide diaspora investors with access to credit for their investment projects in Kosovo. The new guarantee program will promote the increase in the flow of private capital of the diaspora in Kosovo by attracting new investments towards the establishment of new entrepreneurial enterprises or the strengthening of newly created businesses by the diaspora.
