The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, General Department, has requested 30 days detention, from the competent Court in Gjilan, against three (3) police officers of the Regional Directorate of Border Police - East, now the defendants N.S., N.K. and F.K., who were detained yesterday in connection with the "Karaçeva" case.

The press release of the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan states that “According to the request, it is suspected that the defendants, in the capacity of police officers, during December 2019, in the area of border villages between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, continuously, have assisted, concealed and not hindered the commission of criminal offenses, so they enabled various persons to smuggle goods, who have crossed the border line by avoiding customs control”.
