The Mayor of Deçan, Bashkim Ramosaj, after the created situation of poisoning of citizens that is suspected to have come from drinking water, decided to declare a state of emergency in the entire territory of the municipality. Following this decision, all local level institutions are obliged to increase their readiness to manage this emergency situation that occurred after the recent poisonings. Directorate of Health and Social Welfare, Family Medicine Center in Deçan, Directorate of Finance of the Municipality of Deçan, Directorate of Defense, Fire and Rescue Unit, Directorate of Inspection, RWC "Hidrodrini" and NPL "Higjiena" are obliged to work with full human capacities to help the citizens of the Municipality of Deçan. About 900 people have asked for help since Saturday in MFMC Deçan with suspicions of water poisoning.
