The member of the Kosovo Assembly, Daut Haradinaj, has strongly reacted one month after the arrest of the citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, Arbnor Spahiu, in Serbia.

He described this arrest as a political act and a form of kidnapping by the regime of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, KosovaPress reports.

“The political arrest of the citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, Arbnor Spahiu, on absurd charges for a month now, is clear evidence that Serbia continues to operate with the old mindset. This arrest constitutes a literal kidnapping by the Serbian state, specifically by Aleksandar Vucic’s regime”, Haradinaj stated.

The AAK MP emphasizes that bilateral meetings with Serbia should not continue without the unconditional release of Spahiu, adding that Belgrade’s behavior aligns with that of a state captive to an old ruling caste that continues to violate every norm and human right.

“Serbia continues with the old mindset, violating every principle and every human right, acting like a state captive to the old ruling caste”, he said.

Spahiu was detained by Serbian authorities at the border crossing between Hungary and Serbia while returning from Austria by bus. /KosovaPress.
