Customs seizes narcotic substance at Hani i Elezit
Today, at the Hani i Elezit Border Crossing Point, the Anti-Smuggling units of the Kosovo Customs carried out detailed checks on suspicious persons and vehicles. According to the announcement, during the inspection of a couple, two bags containing approximately 150 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine were found in their personal bag and car.
“After documenting the case, the substance and the individuals involved were handed over to the Kosovo Police for further investigative procedures,” the Kosovo Customs announced.
According to Customs, methamphetamine is an extremely dangerous psychoactive substance that causes rapid addiction, increased aggression, serious damage to the nervous system, cardiovascular problems, a high risk of overdose, and permanent consequences for mental and physical health. Its use and trafficking pose a major risk to public safety and community health.
