Compulsory registration of accompanying animals, those who abandon them will be fined
Days ago, the administrative instruction for the mandatory registration of accompanying animals (cats, dogs) signed by the incumbent Minister of Agriculture, Besian Mustafa, entered into force. This administrative instruction will prevent the abandonment of dogs and cats by owners, which according to the FVA and the "Animal Rights Foundation", is the main reason for increasing their number in public places. To an accompanying animal will be placed a microchip in skin, which will contain the details of the animal and the owner.
The Director of Animal Health and Welfare, Sadik Heta, says for KosovaPress that the registration and identification of accompanying animals is necessary and that in this instruction there are penalties for owners who do not register accompanying animals.
