Kosovo Customs officials, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, have uncovered two cases involving narcotic substances during vehicle inspections at the Vërmicë Border Crossing Point.

According to Kosovo Customs, in the first case, a detailed inspection of a vehicle entering the Republic of Kosovo led to the discovery of 104.90 grams of a suspected cocaine substance hidden in a passenger’s personal bag. Initial tests conducted using the TruNarc device and a field test returned positive results for cocaine. Following a full inspection and scanning of the vehicle, no other irregularities were found, and the case has been referred for further investigation.

In the second case, during the inspection of another vehicle at the same border crossing, officials discovered 5.53 grams of a suspected cannabis/marijuana substance hidden in the luggage compartment. An undeclared kitchen knife was also found during the inspection.
