Coca-Cola orders massive recall of drinks in Europe, the FVA informs the citizens

The European unit for bottling drinks of the Coca-Cola company said yesterday that it has ordered a massive recall of Coke, Sprite and other drinks, after noticing high levels of chlorate which could pose health risks to consumers of these drinks.
The recall, announced on Monday by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Belgium, according to The Economic Times, affects cans and glass bottles that had high levels of this substance, Coke, Sprite and other drinks distributed in Belgium, the Netherlands, Britain, Germany, France and Luxembourg since November.

The spokesperson for the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency, Lamir Thaçi, told KosovaPress that so far the FVA has not received any information regarding suspicions about the safety of the Coca Cola product which is sold in Kosovo.

"The Food and Veterinary Agency has so far not received any information regarding suspicions about the safety of the Coca Cola product that is sold in Kosovo. We are monitoring the situation through contact mechanisms with food safety authorities and organizations. We will keep the consumers informed of any changes. So far, there are no suspicions"...
