Clinton: Kosovo managed to secure reparations for victims of sexual violence during the war
The former Secretary of State of the United States, Hillary Clinton, in a virtual greeting at the Women Peace Security International Forum, said that after several years of lobbying, Kosova managed to secure reparations for the victims of sexual violence during the war and elected the first female president, to continue with the second.
Clinton emphasized that women are not only victims of violence and inequality, but are agents of peace and progress.
Among other things, Clinton said that our democracies are stronger and more stable when women are included and treated as equals, and especially when women lead.
She added that rights are important, but they are nothing without the power to claim and protect them.
