Following the formalization of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Israel and the announcement that Kosovo will open an embassy in Jerusalem, came the reaction from the European Union office. The latter state that the embassies of EU countries should be located in Tel Aviv and not in Jerusalem. Kosovo's ambassador to the United States of America (USA), Vlora Citaku, reacted to this statement. Citaku said that the European Union, before giving lectures about the embassy in Jerusalem, it should clarify why there’s absence of Kosovo's mission to the EU. She even wrote that "Hypocrisy has a name".
