After submitting the petition with over 30,000 signatures from the United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture of the Republic of Kosovo (SBASHK) gathered within a citizen's initiative to amending and supplementing the Law on pension schemes, the head of this union, Rrahman Jasharaj, has announced that they have also held a meeting with the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca.

After this meeting, Jasharaj stated that Konjufca promised him that within his competences he will commit himself that this initiative will go to the responsible bodies in time.

While Jasharaj emphasized the challenges they intend to present, he requested that the same initiative be taken into account by everyone, as he said, they are doing it for the benefit of a layer that is sensitive and has the greatest need from the state.

The changes in the Law on pension schemes are related to the requirement that the 90s and the following years until the Kosovo Pension Trust began to function, be recognized as contributors, and not remain only with the old-age pension after the decades spent in work. /E.Bytyçi/
