CEC starts preparations for the snap elections in the northern municipalities

The Central Election Commission has started preparations for the organization of elections in the four municipalities with a Serbian majority: North Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, and Zveçan, which will be held on December 18, 2022.

At the meeting held today, the CEC decided to approve the operational plan for organizing the elections. Some of the main activities foreseen with this operational plan are as follows:

a) The deadline for applying for certification of political subjects and candidates for participation in the elections begins on November 15 and ends on November 21, 2022;

b) The deadline for declaring participation in the elections through the coalition begins on November 15 and ends on November 17, 2022;

c) The deadline for declaration of political parties for non-participation in the elections begins on November 15 and ends on November 19, 2022;...
