In 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kosovo's economy shrank by 7.2 percent. This was announced by the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK), Fehmi Mehmeti, at a press conference, where he said that they have identified the needs and that they will take adequate measures to support the economy in case of a total closure.

On this occasion, Governor Mehmeti met today with the business community to identify the needs for economic support, in case a closure occurs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
