Blair: I have never regretted that we helped Kosovo
The former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, has said that he has never regretted helping Kosovo in its liberation 25 years ago. He said that the triumph of the NATO intervention would not have come without the determination and courage of the people of Kosovo. According to him, the struggle of the Kosovar people symbolized the will for a better future as an independent and sovereign state.
Tony Blair, in his address to the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo, recalled some moments of 25 years ago when the agreement was reached for the withdrawal of the Serbian occupying forces from the territory of Kosovo.
Blair underlined the need for Kosovo's future to be in the European Union.
Until he requested that the countries that do not recognize Kosovo agree to do such a thing as soon as possible.

Today, in Prishtina, a scientific conference was also held for the 25th anniversary of the NATO intervention and the liberation of Kosovo: "A quarter of a century of state building, challenges and achievements - multidisciplinary approach".
Activities to mark the 25th anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo started on June 8 and will last until June 21. As part of it, on June 12, a solemn session will be held in the Assembly of Kosovo and the parade of the Kosovo Security Forces.
