Bislimi: The application to the Council of Europe is in coordination with Kosovo's partners
The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, who is chairing the government meeting in the absence of Albin Kurti, said that the latter is holding very important meetings in the United States of America.
"Prime Minister Kurti is holding very important meetings in the United States of America with state officials, business leaders, representatives of organizations."
At the government meeting, he also spoke about Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe.
"Kosovo has taken an important step forward by submitting its application for membership in the Council of Europe. After membership, the citizens of Kosovo will have a European instance to address their issues," he said.
Bislimi said that the submission of the application was the first step in a very positive momentum coordinated with partners and friends of Kosovo.
"We strongly believe that all Council of Europe member states that have recognized Kosovo's independence rejoice in the advancement of our country and will support this journey," said Bislimi.
