At the government meeting, he also spoke about Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe. "Kosovo has taken an important step forward by submitting its application for membership in the Council of Europe. After membership, the citizens of Kosovo will have a European instance to address their issues," he said. Bislimi said that the submission of the application was the first step in a very positive momentum coordinated with partners and friends of Kosovo. "We strongly believe that all Council of Europe member states that have recognized Kosovo's independence rejoice in the advancement of our country and will support this journey," said Bislimi.
