The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, laid a wreath today at the "Skanderbeg" Memorial in the city of Lezha, commemorating the 555th anniversary of the death of our National Hero Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg.

In a commemorative event organized by the Lezha Municipality, the president said in his speech that "the history of the Albanian nation is that of achievements, endurance, and resurgence apart from geopolitics, apart from prejudices, apart from the divisions insisted upon by much more powerful states. The life of Gjergj Kastrioti reminds us of the originality and strength of an autochthonous people, with no appetite for territories that do not belong to them, but unshakable from their own land"...
