Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama has resigned from the post of Commander of the Kosovo Security Forces. In his place, the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani has appointed Bashkim Jashari. This was announced by the president's office. "The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, at the same time supreme commander of the Kosovo Security Forces, has appointed Major General Bashkim Jashari as the new commander of the Kosovo Security Force, in accordance with the constitutional competencies. The appointment was made as provided in the law on the KSF, following the proposal of the Minister of Defense and the recommendation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. Before the appointment of the new commander of the KSF, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, based on legal provisions, has decreed the dismissal of the current commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama, after his resignation ", it is said in the press release.
