MP from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Hykmete Bajrami has accused the government of signing over 1,800 single-source contracts worth over 240 million euros. According to her, about one third of the state budget is spent through public procurement.

In the extraordinary session of the Assembly, where the proposal-resolution is being discussed for the large number of single-source contracts signed during the mandate of the Kurti Government, MP Bajrami said that this government has damaged the state budget with these contracts.

Speaking about single-source contracts, she said that the European Commission's Country Report has shown that in 2022 a total of 10,290 contracts worth 559 million were signed, for which she said that a significant portion of 20.8 percent was said to have been awarded through negotiated procedures without publication of the contract, about 78 million euros.
