The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) considers that, despite promises, Albin Kurti has not changed anything regarding the issue of electricity payment for the citizens of northern municipalities with a Serbian majority. Members of this party say that in the two years of the Vetëvendosje’s governance, about 100 million euros were paid for electricity bills spent in the north, funds that were taken from the citizens of Kosovo in one way or another.

Days ago, the Supreme Court rejected the request for an extraordinary review by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) against the judgment of the Court of Appeal regarding the billing of electricity for the northern part of Kosovo. In 2017, the Court of Appeal made a decision that it is illegal for the citizens of other municipalities to pay for the electricity spent by the citizens of the 4 northern municipalities...
